It is the 15th day in 2015 already. Please when did we shout happy New Year? Have you decided on what you are going to do with 2016? On the 31st of December 2016 what will you be saying?  The same boring line: “I will change in the new year” or do you want to look back at the end of 2016 and exclaim “What a fantastic year!”

One thing I am learning is that you make of your life what you want. Most times all we do is PRAY. I trust Nigerians we can praaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. We pray so much and neglect the work like the prayers will cover up for our laziness. NEVER.

See most of the people you admire and look up to work their butts off to make things happen. They have late nights and early mornings yet you wake up by 10: 30 am, sleep by 9: 00pm and you want to be as rich as Dangote or Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Are you serious?  I’m not saying you should not pray of course you can and you should but please plan and work. It’s a diligent man that stands before kings not just someone who prays and waits for the miracle to happen.

In today’s post there are two vital things I want you to get:

1. Whatever thing you want to achieve in 2016 Write it down! According to Bankole Williams in his teleseminar “Get wooed by your goals in 2016” your goals should not just be SMART but they should SPARK. Your goals must compel you to RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

Too many people have goals but how many achieve them? Just a pitiable few. Why? Because those goals are not compelling enough. Your goals and dreams must force you to get up every morning even when your blanket’s soft silky arms is wrapped around you.

Let us do a simple task:  what will be the consequence of not achieving your goals this year? Think about it and write it down, are you ready to face these consequences? If NOT you better start running.

2. Create vision boards that will help you see your dreams and goals in form of pictures. It’s almost like you can touch your dreams. It arouses belief in those dreams and what you believe you become.

A Vision board

Instead of just writing down your dreams on paper, get a board and paste cut outs of what you want to achieve on them. Imagine a board that has your dream car, the name of your dream office, your dream house, your dream weight, picture of your dream university, or even your wedding dress all in one place! Tell me you didn't get excited when you thought of that.

Above all, I hope that your dreams and goals are big enough to scare you, exciting enough to propel you and human enough to inspire people.

I have big dreams for 2016. One of them is to revamp this blog which is happening really soon so watch this space. Great things are happening here.

Cheers to a fab 2016!

Your feedback is super dupa important to me. I will be glad to know what you think! Thank you for your time!
