This is how you keep going when you don't have strength

I can’t believe we are almost done with February. This year is in a hurry if you don’t keep up you’ll be sorry. Errr did I just rhyme?

One of my goals for the year is to write better and write more, but before you laugh at me because I have not written on the blog for a long time, let me tell you that I’ve had the opportunity of writing on other platforms one of them is 'No Carry Last'  a price comparison website and I want to share one of my article with you.

Before I do, let me tell you a quick story,

The second time I wanted to write for No Carry Last, I had no idea what I was going to say, I was almost calling my boss to tell her of my woes. I had gone to make my hair around 11am with the hope of finishing by 4pm, the plan was to think of a topic while I was making my hair, do a quick outline and come back home to write. If I hear. If only I knew the day had its own plans. First my stylist refused to show up till 2pm, when she did she made sure she greeted the entire neighborhood like a Yoruba woman greeting her visitors at her daughter’s wedding. "Did they send this woman to me?"  By 7pm she had not finished the hair, I was not sure if it was frustration or anger I was felling.

I kept asking ‘who sent me to do this hair sef,’ but nobody answered me. By the time I got home that night it was around 9:30pm, I had no idea what I was going to write and my brain had literally shut down. I remember my head was pounding so much that evening, I couldn't keep it up for more than five minutes  but I had to write. "What will I write now?"

My sister advised me to rest and wake up later in the night to write, If only I could, I was scared of sleeping off till the next day and miss the deadline for submission.

I stared at the blank screen for about five minutes, my already sleepy eyes were getting teary,  I started writing about how unfair life was, yeah I know I can be a little dramatic, but strangely, after one paragraph and a few lines, my words began to change, I was beginning to write about life as a newbie and the things I had learn't about my career in the past 3months. In the end, my article made sense.

You should read the miracle article here and tell me what you think.

That day I learn’t that I must stretch myself and step out of my comfort zone if I want some things to happen.

What lessons have you learn’t so far?
