Let's review the past six months!

Tuesday, 7 July 2015

Hello!

Its been such a looooong time! Happy New Month! Yep the month is still new, at least this is my first post in this month.

I don’t know about you but I think this year is moving so fast! We have gone more than half of the year already. I stumbled on a book where I wrote my New Year goals at the beginning of the year and I was soooooooo disappointed in myself. As in, I have not even started doing half of what I said I wanted to achieve. I had to start asking myself at what point I was going to start working on the goals.
For those who don’t know, July 2 marked the half of the year 2015 and as excited as I was that I had seen the half of the year I had to do an evaluation of how I had spent the last six months and how I wanted the next six months to go. I know you may also be in this same situation where it looks like you have wasted or not properly utilized the last six months. All you need to do is to have an evaluation of the past months and what you want the coming months to look like. I know most people were optimistic when the year started but now it looks like hope is dwindling.

On my part, I have written new goals where I needed to in some cases I had to break the goals into smaller achievable units; I outlined where I failed and where I need to be better.  I have even started working on some of them. You should do the same too. There aint no cause for alarm. 2015 can still make sense. As long as you are ready to work in the coming months.

One thing that made me very happy though is I had written that I wanted to start this blog this year and I have!!!! At least I did not do so badly in that area!

I hope the rest of the year will be great for YOU!
Thank you for reading!

  1. It hasn't been easy Dotun. So many things to do and the year is really moving fast. When people say TGIF, I say WIIF-Why is it Friday? because that practically signifies the end of another week. One just has to keep the list of goals for the year close to heart and continually work on them.

    1. That's the thing o my dear! Most times doing those things you've outlined just seem so hard. And the year is flying fast ni. But we just have to take each day at a time and ensure that no day is wasted. I think we will achieve more that way.

    1. Oromidayo, I'm glad you are achieving your plans. And for the ones proving stubborn just put in extra efforts! All the best!

  3. This year has been stressful. In this half of the year, I have a lot of exams to write and I must pass all. I intend to shun the voices of my enemies and pay attention to who I am in Christ.
    Great post!!

  4. Writing and working towards goals is somehow tasking but keep it short and abreast to your heart.... Having a thousand and one thing to do in a limited time might limit someone to doing nothing because you won't know which or where to start from

  5. Teach us, O Lord to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom
